Lessons learned in 2018

How has your 2018 been? Did you accomplish all those goals and tackle the challenges on your vision board? If yours was anything like mine, you are ready to be rid of 2018. I experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows with everything else in between. However, all those emotions, challenges, accomplishments, frustrations, happy tears and sad tears came with lessons learned:

  1. God has a bigger plan for me than I have for myself.

  2. Not everyone you love will stay, not everyone you trust will be loyal and some people only exist as examples of what to avoid. This is a painful truth and lesson to learn. But your peace, self-respect always come first.

  3. YOU are good enough, YOU are smart enough, YOU are beautiful enough and YOU are strong enough. In everything, always believe in yourself.

  4. Great things never come from comfort zones. Comfort makes us very complacent. We tend to not make as much of an effort, we become mechanical. Growth happens outside of our comfort zones.

5. It is ok for some people not to like you, everyone can’t have great taste. Live YOUR life. A life based on your morals, beliefs, and goals.

GeGe's Recommendations:

  1. Thank God for answering your prayers with a no. Although it cannot be seen yet, you will be blessed with a greater blessing.

  2. It doesn’t matter how slow you go on whatever path you are on, just keep going and don’t stop.

  3. Don’t be afraid to start small. One of my favorite quotes is “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Lao Tzu

See you in 2019!
