getting ready for love

Happy Valentine's Day!
Love is the air...or is it? Just like every holiday in America, stores have been advertising for Valentine's Day for months. If you're like most people, you can find yourself falling into the pressures of finding the perfect gift or simply having a valentine. Or you can be the type that focuses on self love or spending time with friends.
However you decide to spend your day, we wanted to make sure we gave you some Publicly Sexy tips so you can make the best out of your day.
Glits & Glam
Getting the right look for a date night can be so annoying especially for a "big" one like Valentine's Day!
Word of advice, always keep it simple. Sometimes soft blush, defined brows and a lip color will get the job done. If you're looking to go a little bolder, but you're not quite sure how, don't panic AskAboutMeek is here to slay the day!

AskAboutMeek is my lovely home girl, who is a self taught makeup guru. If she can help me figure out how to do eye shadow, she can surely help you! She has recently blessed us with a YouTube page that demos everything from makeup, wigs, and my kryptonite ...the wing eyeliner. Check out her super fun videos, subscribe, and leave a comment! She can be found on IG and Youtube by the name of Askaboutmeek_ Here's a quick peak at her Valentine's Day look:

What to Wear
The little black dress may have the best reputation but the little red dress catches the eye. Don't have a red dress? Not a problem, maybe think about wearing something that your partner likes. Could be a pair of shoes, a special dress, red lipstick or even just the smell of a nice perfume. These little things make a difference.
What to give
Give from the heart. Really think about your partner and how they make you feel and try to find gift inspiration from that. If you're still struggling, maybe switch gears and think of things you could make. Some of the sweetest gifts I've given were DIYs, here are some examples:
Things I Love About You (basket):
favorite candy
movie tickets
framed picture of y'all
matching fuzzy socks
throw blanket
mason jar with messages about what you love about them
Photobook
grab a photoalbum/scrapbook
add pictures of your favorite memories together
use colorful paper to write cute notes
You can fill the book completely if you want or you can leave some pages blank so that you can add for the future!
However you decide to spend your Valentine's Day, have fun, don't stress it, and remember all of the chocolate will be half off the next day!
xoxo
